Welcome Dinner on Sunday, 7 August 2005 The traditional Welcome Dinner took place at Europe House Vienna in Miller Aichholz Castle build in 1750. There was a short cultural program and Viennese couisne.
Reception at the Vienna City Hall on Monday, 8 August 2005 Reception at the Diplomatic Academy Vienna on Tuesday, 9 August 2005 After the free afternoon, where the delegates had the possibility to explore downtown Vienna, they were invited at the Diplomatic Academy Vienna (DA). The DA offers postgraduate training which prepares young graduates for the varied challenges of an international career. The Academy equips its students with the academic qualifications, the language training, intercultural competences and management skills which are today the essential and often decisive prerequisites for the successful entry into many international professions and a subsequent interesting career. It is open to graduates of any discipline and of any nationality. There was a short lecture about the academic programmes of the DA, afterwards a buffet. There was also the opportunity to play the piano, sing and dance!
Celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of the UN on Wednesday, 10 August 2005 On Wednesday, the last day of our MUN, there was a big party at the famous Buddha Club to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the UN! The evening included DJ music, little snacks and free welome drinks. It was a great evening!
