MEMBERS OF THE VIMUN ORGANIZING TEAM:
5 Social Programme
Welcome Dinner on Sunday,
2 August 2009 On Sonday evening we
had the
opportunity to visit the traditional Viennese "Heuriger
Feuerwehr Wagner". “Heuriger” is the Viennese term for the
wine of the last grape harvest. And it is also the name of the places
where this wine is served.
Reception at the Vienna City Hall on Monday, 3 August 2009
Monday evening, after the first day of negotiations
in the committees, the delegates have been hosted by the Mayor
of Vienna, Dr. Michael Häupl, in the impressive town hall. An
official representative of the Viennese Government will welcomed the
delegates.
They had also the possibility to shake a leg and try out Viennese food.
Reception at the Diplomatic Academy Vienna on Tuesday, 4
August 2009
On
Tuesday evening the delegates were invited at the Diplomatic
Academy Vienna (DA). The DA offers postgraduate training which
prepares young graduates for the varied challenges of an international
career. The Academy equips its students with the academic qualifications,
the language training, intercultural competences and management skills
which are today the essential and often decisive prerequisites for the
successful entry into many international professions and a subsequent
interesting career. It is open to graduates of any discipline and of any
nationality.
There
was a short lecture about the academic programmes of the DA, afterwards a
buffet. There was also the opportunity to play the piano, sing and dance!
Clubbing on Wednesday, 5 August 2009
On
Wednesday,
the last day of our MUN, there was a big party. We visitedOst Klub.
It was a great evening!
